Our history
Angel Biotechnology Holdings Plc. was established in 2005. Since this time, Angel's service offering and areas of expertise have developed dramatically. With the investment in specialised cGMP facilities near Edinburgh, Scotland, and a highly experienced management team, Angel's capabilities have expanded to allow the provision of advanced biologics for clients worldwide. Current capabilities include the development of cellular therapies and stem cells for application in the field of regenerative medicine, recombinant proteins, antibodies, bacteriophage and viruses, with associated cGMP manufacturing and downstream processing expertise.
The company is currently undertaking a large expansion to its GMP capabilities and has recently announced the signing of a 15 year lease on a manufacturing facility in Cramlington, near Newcastle upon Tyne. The additional high-quality GMP manufacturing capacity will allow the company to undertake more and much larger programmes, providing the scale-up capacity required to assist our clients through Phase III clinical trials and beyond.
