Process Development and Downstream Processing

Process development capabilities at Angel Biotechnology include the optimization of expression levels through directed screening and through the use of our proprietary high throughput screening technologies.  With a choice of bioreactors ranging from 10L to 50L, we can optimize batch and fed-batch processes to optimize culture media and, where appropriate, develop animal component free media.

We have a choice of cell harvesting techniques at our disposal including the use of TFF membrane systems for ultrafiltration and diafiltration, and the use of centrifugation and ultracentrifugation techniques.

Cell disruption can be performed using automated, mechanical cell disruption and we use AKTA Explorer and Pilot chromatography systems for automated purification.

Through optimization of these processes, along with our expertise in protein refolding from inclusion bodies, we are able to optimize protein yields, reducing the costs and timelines for your recombinant protein production.
